Realistic View Of SA Government And Politics
SONA 2019: A Tablet For Every Student Inside 6 Years, Yet 4 000 Schools Still Without Toilets
President Cyril Ramaphosa says he needs a tablet gadget for each school kid inside six years, yet kids in 4 000 schools the nation over still use pit toilets.
Ramaphosa spread out his administration's arrangements for the year in his 2019 State of the Nation Address on Thursday, addressing his desire for the fundamental instruction segment.
He said in excess of 700 000 youngsters had gotten to early childhood education in the last budgetary year, a sign that government had built up a firm establishment for a far reaching early youth advancement program.
Enhancing appreciation, in this manner, was fundamental in propelling the essential education division, beginning from establishment stage.
"Over the next six years, we will provide every school child in South Africa with digital workbooks and textbooks on a tablet device," Ramaphosa said.
"We will start with those schools that have been historically most disadvantaged and are located in the poorest communities, including multi-grade, multi-phase, farm and rural schools.
Truth Of The Matter:
Political rallies and any state event is about the Political Party selling itself to the people, it is the exchange of pipe dreams and votes.
It is clear that each SONA is based on NDP(National Development Plan) which aims to reduce poverty and inequality by 2030 and that seems to be far fetched as it gets closer without solid improvements every year under the ruling party.
Both the NDP and SONA laid down by the President looks to be unrealistic and not achievable in the near future if we look at the pace at which services are rendered to the people in need by the organs of state.
Priorities of our leader on all spheres are reduced to greed and selfishness where we see everyone trying to accumulate wealth overnight, state entities are forever seeking debt rescue from the state because of mis-allocation of funds and this cripples the priorities set out to improve the lives of the needy.
Most schools have no resources or facilities such as labs to perform certain tasks and yet the NDP is set up to be achieved by 2030. It is wrong to say but it is not achievable especially under education, which is the key part of South African growth and development.
Government institutions such SAPS, Department of Health,(etc) have always remained under-resourced and under-capacitated and non of the previous presidents and current have looked carefully into the drowning situations of this institutions.
Government institutions such SAPS, Department of Health,(etc) have always remained under-resourced and under-capacitated and non of the previous presidents and current have looked carefully into the drowning situations of this institutions.
President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa will always find it difficult to root out the greed of corruption as he is protected by the very same people he tries to bring to order.
President Ramaphosa is heavily implicated into Marikana massacre which occurred on 16 august 2012, this means that he needs protection from his political party and in return he must do right for the party and project its members against other wrongful deeds they may have committed.
This means the country will run is circle of poverty as this will be generational in the ANC as the the mandate of each leadership will be to protect and serve the ruling parties despicable individuals who regularly spit on the face of the poor by enforcing their greed into the country's development programs to enrich themselves.
Truth be told that President Cyril Ramaphosa has no intentions to wipe out 50% of his MP's as they are alleged to be corrupt. He will serve the ANC and they will individually feast on the country's wealth, if not then the party will make sure that they throw him into the wolfs as he is strongly implicated into Marikana massacre and BOSASA dealings.
The Farlam Commission of Inquiry into Marikana tragedy and Zondo Commission of Inquiry into State Capture will be South Africa's las hope and if non of this bears fruits of good will then generational curse into poverty will hang on every South African's child head, black, white, colored or Indian, all will be affected as all communities depend on government to improve infrastructure development and other amenities. Health services are the worst factor and is largely looked aside as facilities require more than just the face of the new dawn.
Marikana Commission of Inquiry’s main findings and recommendations
The report absolved the key political figures who were accused of having a hand in the events leading to the massacre, these political key figures being Nathi Mthethwa, Cyril Ramaphosa and Susan Shabangu. It also found that Lonmin had failed to engage with workers and the trade unions operating in that sector, National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) and Association of Mine workers and Construction Union (AMCU) were found not to have full control of its members who embarked on the unprotected strike.
The commission made number of recommendations regarding the fitness of the heads of police. The commission recommended inquiries on Ria Phinyega who was the National Police Commissioner and the Northwest Police Commissioner Zukiswa Mbombo, regarding their fitness to run the office. It also made number of recommendations to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) such as investigating and possibly prosecuting those committed the massacre and other killings before that. There were also a number of recommendations regarding future policing of protests.
